This is my Second Animated theme Seiko Wall Clock. Love the quality clock & animated movement. This one having a larger speaker than my first clock thereby the musical audio is fuller. My first clock 17 years ago still works which I got at a warehouse club store where you see the less expensive models every Christmas.
This one is a lot more expensive because of the particular model & features. Well worth it. Makes a great Gift for Birthdays, Weddings, & Retirement.

This clock is a majestic addition to my home. Everyone is mesmerized at the top of the hour, when the clock face parts into 4 pieces and spins in time to the music, revealing wheels that move. Adults and children flock to the clock when they hear the opening song before one of six main songs, and stay till the end of the closing song (the same opening tune and the same closing tune occur every hour as the clock face opens and closes, but once open, the six main songs take turns at each hour). It is a beautiful timepiece, of classic Seiko quality – and so much fun! I want to save up for a bigger, more elaborate one with more songs…

These clocks are fantastic. This is the fourth one we have bought. We bought one for ourselves and have gotten three others for our daughters. We have been more than satisfied with all of them. They are all a bit different but still have the inside that rotates on the hour and half hour and music with them. Our others have 12 songs but this one only has 6. The others can be changed from Christmas music to regular music.

The music and mechanics are lovely– they are just as good as my vintage Magic Motion Rhythm clock (which said 17 year old accidentally dropped while cleaning… I know, poor kid, right? LOL. But it still works!).
So my question is: Should I give him child-of-the-year award??

There really isn’t a whole lot to say. If you already know about Seiko clocks, you can plainly see what this one looks like. However, the pictures do not really do it justice. This clock is gorgeous. On the hour (or when you press the demo button) the clock face breaks into 4 parts and they all spin 360 degrees, with a couple of pauses, and then they all come back together in about a minute.
When the face comes apart, there are larger spinning gears behind, and they are inlaid with colored glass that are very beautiful. The gears spin, and the fireworks and stars around the edges light up. The ferris wheel at the center at the bottom also spins constantly, not just on the hour. It’s just enough movement you make you admire the conservative care and beauty that went into making this clock.
The only real con is that it only comes with six melodies. But that really is a minor gripe, the clock would be worth it if there were no melodies.
